Peel Wraparound Process – Adolescent Team:

Does your teenager have mental health difficulties?  Is he or she getting help from the Peel Children’s Aid Society? Has your family had little success with treatment in the past? Our Peel Wraparound Process – Adolescent Team may be able to help you.

Can you take part in this process?
If your teenager and family have many needs that no one service can meet, you can take part in our Peel Wraparound Process – Adolescent Team

  • if your child is between 12 and 16 years of age,
  • if your child is getting help from Peel Children’s Aid Society,
  • if your child may harm himself or herself, or others,
  • if your child may lose his or her home or school placement,
  • if your child has seen violence or has been abused,
  • if your child may have delays in his or her development,
  • if your child or family has a history of mental health difficulties, and
  • if your family is very stressed and has been unable to make the situation better.

What do we do?
Our wraparound process is centred around your family. We listen to you to understand what your family’s needs and strengths are. Then we help you and the members of your team to create a plan that will meet your needs at home, in the school, and in the community.

We will ask you to choose a team of people to support you as you follow this plan. You can choose some of these people to support you:

  • members of your family,
  • friends,
  • mental health workers, and
  • people from your community.

We will work with you and your team to help you meet your goals.
