Mental Health Services for Children and Youth (Centralized Intake)
If your child, teenager or young adult has a mental health problem, Mental Health Services for Children and Youth (Centralized Intake) can find a program that can help.


Can you use our services?
To be able to use these services

  • your child or youth must be under 24 years of age,
  • your child, teenager or young adult must need help for a mental health problem, and 
  • your child, teenager or young adult must live in the Region of Peel or, for some services, in Dufferin County or Halton Region.

 

Parents, teenagers or young adults can call us directly. Other services that help you such as schools, doctors, and community services can also call us.


What do we do?
When you call us, we will ask you some questions to decide which service or program can best meet your needs. For example, we may ask about your child’s age and mental health problems.

Then we will make an appointment with 1 of these 6 service providers that will help you or your child/teenager:

  1. Associated Youth Services of Peel,
  2. Nexus Youth Services,
  3. Peel Children’s Centre,
  4. Rapport Youth & Family Services, or
  5. Trillium Health Partners—Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
  6. William Osler Health System—Mental Health Services for Children and Adolescents.
