Child Witness Program
Our Child Witness Program provides information and support to children/youth who have witnessed or experienced sexual or physical abuse. This educational program helps young victims cope with the stress and pressures associated with their upcoming criminal court appearances.

Who is eligible for our program?
Children/youth under 18 years of age who live in the Region of Peel, the Region of Halton, or Dufferin County are eligible to participate in our program
  • if they experienced or witnessed sexual or physical violence, and
  • if they are required to appear in criminal court as a witness.

The program also helps children/youth under 18 years of age living in other areas of Ontario who are required to testify in a criminal court located in Peel, Halton or Dufferin.

What do we do?
We provide child victims/witnesses and their support person(s) with emotional support, stress reduction and coping strategies. We also educate them about court procedures.

We offer this service in the office, community, or home.
