On Sunday December 4th, Peel Children’s Centre held its 15th Annual Holiday Brunch and Auction at Rogues Restaurant in Mississauga. A good time was had by all and, thanks to the generosity of those present, over $31,000 was raised! These funds will be used to help provide a range of services for children and families in our community that would otherwise not be available. The Child Witness Program, a service that helps young children who have experienced or witnessed physical or sexual violence prepare to testify in court, is but one example.
“It is so encouraging to know that local businesses and community members share in our vision of a caring community working together for children. Peel Children's Centre sincerely appreciates the support for young people in our programs,” said Humphrey Mitchell, Executive Director at the Centre. “Peel Children’s Centre relies on donations to support many of our specialized treatment programs. It is, therefore, invaluable for organizations and community members to become involved and help children, young people and families who are struggling with serious emotional difficulties.”
Peel Children’s Centre would like to thank and recognize those who made this year’s fundraising event such a tremendous success:
Event Host Since 1991 – Rogues Restaurant
Bronze Sponsor – The Clorox Company of Canada
Media Sponsor – The Mississauga News
Thanks also to those who provided in-kind donations to the auction; those who volunteered their time behind the scenes and on the day of the event; and those who attended the Brunch and bid generously. Together we made a difference!
