On October 7, Peel Children’s Centre (PCC) welcomed donors, sponsors and community partners for an evening reception in recognition of their generous support. The event was held at Credit Valley Golf Club in Mississauga.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome from PCC Board President, Patricia Grady and Humphrey Mitchell, CEO. They both expressed sincere gratitude to everyone in attendance for their dedication and support to PCC.
To illustrate the impact of each donor’s contribution, Bhupinder Heer, Clinical Services Supervisor, introduced a young man to share how receiving services provided by PCC had a positive impact on his life. “If it wasn’t for services like PCC, I wouldn’t be here today and I wouldn’t be the person I am today,” the young man said, thanking donors personally for their support. “People like you who donate to PCC, you make a difference. You made a difference in my life. Thank you.”
Generosity and gratitude continued through the evening, with the opportunity for cheques to be presented from dedicated corporations and foundations. Community Foundation of Mississauga presented their $22,000 gift in support of PCC’s summer camp and Connect programs, Hydro One Brampton's gift of $15,000 raised from their 9th Annual Golf Tournament in support of PCC's programs and services, Peel Regional Police donated $11,500 raised from their annual Mother’s Day Brunch in support of PCC’s Child Witness program, and CIBC for their $10,000 donation in support of PCC's Intensive Child and Family Services for children/youth ages 7 to 17.
Thank you to all the generous supporters who contribute to PCC's vision of A Caring Community Working Together for Children and Youth.
