Now in its 10th year, the Staples Argentia (3135 Argentia Road in Mississauga) Back to School Drive in support of Peel Children’s Centre has once again showcased the tremendous generosity on the part of the Mississauga community.
The Staples Back to School Drive is an annual campaign that raises funds to purchase school supplies for PCC children and youth in need. From early August to mid-September, Staples customers had the opportunity to add donations to their purchases at the cash register, resulting in an incredible $5900 dollars raised. The highly successful campaign enabled PCC to purchase school supplies for over 125 underprivileged children and youth, including more than 100 backpacks, 30 lunch bags, 125 packages of pencils, and much more. Staples Argentia also donated over 300 packages of lined paper. The outpouring of support from Staples and their customers allowed PCC kids to return to school with everything they needed for a successful school year.
The managers, supervisors, and employees of Staples Argentia cannot be thanked enough for their generosity and determination to reach new heights with their fundraising efforts. PCC would also like to thank the staff volunteers who helped purchase and distribute the school supplies. Last but certainly not least, PCC extends its thanks to the Mississauga community, specifically those customers who donated to the Staples Back to School drive. Because of you, PCC children and youth in need were able to start the school year with all the confidence and joy that fresh new supplies can bring. Click here to watch our special thank you video!
