On September 30, Peel Children's Centre welcomed donors and community partners for an evening reception in recognition of their generous support. The event was held at Credit Valley Golf Club in Mississauga.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome from PCC's incoming Board President Michael Cantlon and Humphrey Mitchell, CEO. They both expressed sincere gratitude to everyone in attendance for their dedication and support to PCC.
To provide further insight on how each donor's contribution provides hope, Meena Radhakrishnan, PCC Child and Family Clinician and Bozena Tutaj, Nexus Youth Services' Youth and Family Counsellor, introduced a mother to share her story on her daughter's positive experience with the services provided at PCC. Guests were touched by the heartfelt words of this mother speaking about her daughter's struggles with mental health and how PCC has positively impacted their lives.
Throughout the evening, PCC expressed gratitude to its generous donors and provided an opportunity for cheques to be presented by dedicated corporations and foundations. Hydro One Brampton presented their gift of $12,000 raised from their 10th Annual Golf Tournament in support of PCC's programs and services, Community Foundation of Mississauga's donation of $2,000 in support of PCC's Connect After School Program and $8,000 in support of PCC's programs and services, Collette Foundation's gift of $10,000 in support of Strongest Families and Peel Regional Police's contribution of $4,901.35 for proceeds raised from a third party event held in support of PCC's Child Witness Program.
A warm thank you to all the generous supporters who contribute to PCC's Vision of A Caring Community Working Together for Children and Youth.
