Peel Children’s Centre welcomed donors, sponsors and community partners for an evening reception in recognition of their generous support. The event was held on November 5 at Credit Valley Golf Club in Mississauga.
PCC Board President, Roman Boychuk and Humphrey Mitchell, CEO expressed their gratitude to everyone in attendance and provided an insight on how their donations have contributed greatly to the work at PCC. "Peel Children's Centre is grateful to its donors as they bring hope to children, youth and their families who are experiencing mental health challenges", CEO Humphrey Mitchell said in a news release.
To illustrate the impact of each donor’s contribution, Edit Farun, Intensive Services Coordinator introduced a family who has made significant progress through several programs and services provided at PCC. Guests were touched by the heartfelt words of a mother and father speaking on their children’s struggles with mental health and how their family’s experiences with PCC have allowed them to have hope for a bright future.
Generosity and gratitude continued through the evening, with the opportunity for cheques to be presented from dedicated corporations and foundations. RBC Foundation presented their gift of $40,000 in support of Group Services, Hydro One Brampton's gift of $14,000 raised from their 9th Annual Golf Tournament in support of PCC's programs and services, CIBC for their $10,000 gift in support of PCC's Intensive Child and Family Services for children/youth ages 7 to 17, and Collette Foundation for their $5,000 gift in support of PCC's 23rd Annual Holiday Brunch and Auction.
Thank you to all the generous supporters who contribute to PCC's vision of A Caring Community Working Together for Children and Youth.
